On the outskirts of Berrynarbor, between the beach resorts of Ilfracombe and Combe Martin, is Watermouth Cove. Often referred to as North Devon's "little gem", Watermouth Cove is a stunning section of North Devon's coast line. It offers magnificent views of the bay, harbour, Hangman Hill and Watermouth Castle.

Stretch your legs!
The local area boasts a vast array of coastal paths and woodland walks, taking in the stunning views. Walkers on the Coastal Footpath can experience diverse views from sheer cliff tops to the tranquil moorings at Watermouth Harbour. There are walks for everyone regardless of age or ability.
Go wildlife spotting
The fields, lanes, cliffs and seas in the area are packed with animals, birds and insects. It's not unusual to see badgers, foxes, deer and rare red squirrels. Evening strollers need to look out for several types of bat flitting about above their head and listen for owls hooting to each other. Such is the variety of wildlife in the seas off the coast that it has been declared a Heritage Coastline for protection.
Track down T-Rex!
Head for Combe Martin Wildlife & Dinosaur Park - a perfect family day out. With over 250 species of plants and animals including monkeys, snow leopards, penguins, racoons, meerkats and wolves. Make sure don't get eaten by the park's resident dinosaurs though!
Set sail for Lundy
Various sea trips are available from Ilfracombe Harbour, including a popular day trip to fantastic Lundy Island. Birdwatchers delight in puffin-watching on the cruise to the island, as well as the many other birds that inhabit the coastal waters.
Head for the West End
You can't miss Ilfracombe's Landmark Theatre on the western end of the sea front. The venue hosts a variety of drama and music events, tea dances and contemporary dance. The building also serves as a cinema and a base for the Ilfracombe tourist information centre.
Go ghost hunting!
Chambercombe Manor House sits in a glorious secluded setting and is well-known for its paranormal phenomena. The house was recently featured on Living TV's Most Haunted series and is open for guided tours throughout the year. For those that don't fancy coming face-to-face with a poltergeist, there are tranquil gardens to explore and delicious cream teas to be tasted at Lady Jane's Tearoom within the Manor grounds.
Get involved at the mill
In the corner of the village of Hele sits the old 16th century watermill with 18ft overshot wheel. Today it is a great place to grab a cream tea and shop for hand made pottery, wooden creations and handicrafts. Kids can also enjoy painting some pottery themselves!
