Foxgloves Cottage is an idyllic one bedroomed, semi-detached cottage in the unspoilt village of Berrynarbor on the edge of the North Devon coast.

Situated just away from the centre of Berrynarbor the cottage enjoys a quiet, rural position within easy reach of all of North Devon's attractions. The cottage has views down the picturesque Sterridge Valley, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty renowed for it's abundance of birds and wildlife. The cottage adjoins a Devon longhouse which dates back to over 400 years.

Guests enjoy allocated, off-road parking from which a gravel path leads through a wooden gate into the vegatable garden, over a small wooden bridge and up to the cottage door. The accommodation is stylishly decorated throughout and comprises of a porch, kitchen, lounge/diner, bathroom and king-sized bedroom.

The cottage kitchen is reached through a stable door and is well equipped with a washing machine, electric oven, halogen hob, microwave & fridge with freezer compartment.

Adjacent to the kitchen, Foxgloves' lounge/diner has great views over the garden and is comfortably furnished, and equipped with a TV, video, hi-fi, books, games, maps and electric fire.

From the lounge, a staircase leads upstairs to a small landing, off which is a nautical themed bathroom consisting of a WC, and bath with overhead shower.

At the end of the landing is a light and airy, attractively decorated bedroom with a king sized bed and further fabulous countryside views.

Outside the gardens are truly photogenic with an ambling stream, beautiful plants and the resident chickens & ducks are frequent visitors. The outside patio furniture provides the ideal place to sit, relax and take in the atmosphere.

Location

Foxgloves Cottage is found about a mile out of the award winning village of Berrynarbor. The village itself is well equipped with an excellent community run village shop and post office, a lovely little teashop, two pubs - The Globe in the centre of the village next to the church and The Sawmill at the end furthest from the cottage. These can all be reached on foot for those not adverse to hills! Alternatively there is plenty of parking in the centre of the village in a free car park.

The village is the perfect location from which to explore North Devon and get a taste of Devon life no matter whether you're wanting a relaxing rural hideaway or to sample some of the local shops - Ilfracombe and Barnstaple are only 3 miles and 12 miles away respectively. The beaches of the Golden Coast are also easily accessible with the large beaches at Woolacombe and Putsborough only 8 miles distant. The cottage is also ideal for walkers - the South West Coast Path passes less than 2 miles from the cottage and Exmoor is only a short drive away.
