Brambles is a three-bedroom detached character holiday cottage in the award-winning, picturesque village of Berrynarbor, which is mid-way between Ilfracombe and Combe Martin on the North Devon coast.

Located in an elevated position on the edge of the village, the holiday cottage has superb views over Berrynarbor and the open countryside. It is a three bedroom detached cottage which was built in 1977.

Brambles is approached by stone steps and a path leading to a small lawn edged with shrubs. The cottage consists of an entrance hall, lounge, dining room, kitchen, utility room, downstairs cloakroom, 3 bedrooms, bathroom and shower room. All the main rooms are double aspect giving the cottage a light and airy feel, and making the most of the lovely views . It is very cosy with double glazing and full gas fired central heating.

The lounge and the dining room are comfortably furnished and both have TVs and DVD players, as well as some books, maps and games.

The kitchen is fully equipped including electric cooker, microwave and dishwasher .There is a fridge/freezer and washer/dryer in the adjacent utility area.

The upstairs is accessed by two staircases which do not connect at first floor level. This is very useful if there are two families in your party and you want some privacy. The bedrooms are all attractively furnished and have lovely views. All linen, except beach towels, is provided.

The main bedroom is a double room with a king sized bed and TV, and ample space for a cot if required. The second bedroom is a twin bedded room. The beds cannot be pushed together to make a double as they are at opposite ends of the room, but it is ideal for children.

The third bedroom, approached by a separate staircase from the dining room, is a double room with TV and again ample space for a cot if required. The adjacent shower room is solely used by this bedroom and has an electric shower, basin and toilet.

The rear garden is very steep, but offers even better views over the village and surrounding countryside, and has been landscaped with lots of shrubs, and steps and paths with handrails give access to a lawn with seating which has stunning views. For those not wanting to climb the garden, to the side of the cottage there is a paved patio area complete with patio furniture.

Location

Brambles is located in an elevated position overlooking Berrynarbor. The village is within walking distance, is very picturesque and has won the "Best Kept Village" on numerous occasions. There is an excellent village shop which is a community run general store, post office and off licence. The village pub, The Globe is around 600 yards away and within walking distance to those comfortable with walking up and down hills . The pub is 'olde worlde' and offers a good range of pub food. There is another pub, The Sawmill, a mile away.

Brambles is ideally located if you're looking for a varied holiday. Within easy reach of Ilfracombe (3 miles) and the beaches of the Golden Coast (8 miles) in one direction, the rocky coves and great walking on Exmoor are only a few miles in the opposite direction. There are plenty of walks that start from the cottage too, not least the South West Coast Path only a mile or so away.
